Horoscopes in Islam
I see a lot of Muslims retweet their horoscopes on twitter. I used to do that, went as far as checking the daily newspapers to see what 'has been written in the stars' for me that day. Even if you don’t believe in it, your prayer won’t be accepted for fourty days if you as much as share it. If you actually believe in the horoscope, you have left the fold of Islam and have become a disbeliever. It's very unislamic to engage in this act. I learnt this awhile ago and decided to share this post.
The Prophet (SAW) said: “Whoever learns about astrology has learned a branch of witchcraft.”
May Allah protect us from all that will take us away from as-sirat al-mustaqim. Ameen.
